You and the service provided are of the utmost importance to me. These policies are meant to help provide you with a better experience, better service and to help with time management issues. Please feel free to discuss these policies with me, or anything else you may have questions or concerns about

UNDER 18

PROFESSIONALISM
Malia Hansen maintains a professional environment and reserves the right to terminate a session in the event of a client's inappropriate behavior, intoxication, infectious condition (i.e. flu, cold, etc.), or sexual advances. Therapeutic massage is strictly non-sexual. If client expresses interest in a sexual massage, I will terminate the massage immediately and payment for appointed service will be rendered in full. Termination of a session is completely at the discretion of me without a requirement of explanation.

STATE OF BEING
Be prompt. Sessions begin and end at scheduled times.
Be clean when you arrive for the treatment.
Be present (not under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

CONFIDENTIALITY
Client information is kept strictly confidential. I respect client confidentiality and will not share identifying client information with outside parties.

FOR YOUR COMFORT
Turn off cellular phones and beepers during the course of the massage session.
This office is a non-smoking environment.
Remove all jewelry except for studs or belly button rings

DRAPING
Your comfort and feelings of safety are paramount. Most people remove all clothing to allow the most benefit from the massage; however, you may disrobe to the level you are most comfortable with. By law, all Massage Therapists are required to use draping. During the massage, only the part of the body being worked on will be uncovered.

PARTS OF THE BODY TO BE MASSAGED
Your session will be designed specifically for you. A full body massage typically includes your neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands, glutes, legs, feet, abdomen, chest (except female breast tissue), face and scalp. Male or female genitals are never massaged. Only legitimate, professional massage services are offered. If you prefer not to have a specific area worked on, please inform your therapist prior to the session.

Scheduling and Office Hours:
Malia Hansen schedules by appointment only.

Reservation / Appointment Policy

MISSED APPOINTMENTS
When you book an appointment with me, that time is set aside for you - and ONLY you. I try to always be ready for you when you arrive.
In return, I ask that you keep your promise to me and show up for your appointment on time.
Please understand that massage therapists only get paid when they deliver a service...
therefore missed appointments are costly for me and prevent me from catering to other clients.
That said, the policy is simple. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment,
and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $30 fee.

LATE POLICY
Please arrive on time as your appointment begins at the scheduled time. Because appointments are often booked next to each other, extra time may not be added to the end of your appointment and you will be charged for the full amount of time that was reserved for you.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATIONS
In the event that you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please contact me by phone at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not reach me, please leave a message on my voice mail system. If I do not hear from you within this time frame, and you do not keep your appointment, the above policy will be applied.
Note: I recognize that no one is perfect and there are circumstances that are out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.) and so I may make an exception to the above policies on those rare occasions. If I must cancel your session, you will be notified as soon as possible. Last minute cancellations by me will result in a FREE Sauna treatment or 15 minute massage to be issued on your next visit that you may use at your discretion.

Payment Policy

PAYMENTS AND RETURNED CHECKS
Payment is due in full at the time service is rendered.
Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, and Debit cards are accepted.
There will be a $30.00 returned check fee - or maximum allowed by law.
Gift Certificates are non-refundable. Keep in mind they are transferable, therefore, the bearer is considered the intended recipient regardless of the name printed on the certificate.
